My first 3 colour repeat!

Tonight I finished up my advanced course at the Harvest workroom, we all did a 3 colour repeat pattern and here is how mine turned out!

It started with a drawing


Then was the crazy intricate stencil cutting!

followed by choosing a colour pallette and mixing the inks

then at long last printing the first colour

then the second


and finally finishing it off with the third!


I've learnt so much over the past few weeks and I'm super happy with the result. I can't wait to get sewing and turn it into something!

New design, Sneak Peak

I've been a busy bee working on the latest design down at Harvest, here is a sneak peak of where it's going

coffee tiiimmee

Over the Summer, I got into Iced coffee, one night at home I got a little creative and made some affragatos, yum yum!



A good quality Vanilla bean ice-cream, is a must and i found that this one worked very well


Other than the ice-cream all you need is an expresso machine to make your coffee shots and away you go! They're very yummy

Diana the first roll

So i got back my first roll from my new Diana Mini, it was my first attempt at using a lomo or even a film camera in quite some time! Today I went to pick up my first film and when i got to the counter and they informed me that I would only need to pay $5.22 as they didn't have to print them all. I'll be honest I was a little worried. . .

So here is the best of the bunch:



I was having a bit of trouble figuring out how far to wind the film as it felt clunky. . . clearly!




There are some cool bikes cruising around Melbourne-town at the moment



Overall i'm pretty happy with the first attempt, and feel like i've learnt a lot! I've started my second roll and can't wait to get it processed too!

Up up and away Indigo

When I saw this beautiful indigo linen I just had to get it, and here is what I did with it

Today I had a printing sesh! I experimented with opaque ink for the first time and boy was it a challenge! I've ended up with a couple of good prints in the end which I'm very excited about and I will sew them up and they will be available on my Etsy store shortly! Take a sneak peak below!

I learnt a heap today, and also washed my screen out. . . a lot, so I'm looking forward to printing again soon!

So with each new year I tend to go a little organise crazy, and usually have a feng shui attack and throw out all unnecessary things lying around. It's such a great feeling and sunday was the day for me, I kicked so many goals organising my loft and turning it into a productive space, designing and sewing a top, got my terrariums started AND cut up some fabric ready to print on the weekend! eeep. I can't wait to show you what it is!

p.s the first film from my diana mini is being developed, eeep! I'm so excited to see what happens
