Good fortune in San Francisco

So I went along to the original fortune cookie factory in San Francisco. You can write your own fortunes and get them put inside fresh fortune cookies, yummm! It happened to be Alex (My bestie's) Birthday. Even though she was on the otherside of the world I couldn't help but send her some love on her special day. . .

I've been back from the USA for about a month now, and boy has it been a busy month! We had Markit, Craft Hatch, revamped our online store, and have been filling Christmas orders!

The Design Files Open House

On Sunday afternoon I was super excited to visit The Design Files Open House. It was the first relaxing thing I've done since a whirlwind of work, playing catch up & coordinating market stalls since I returned home from the USA.
There was so many amazing pieces to explore and it felt amazing to tune out for a while and take it all in. Here are a few snaps. Congratulations on a beautiful set up Lucy Feagins.

Craft Hatch, This Saturday

So we've just recovered from Markit a few days ago, I've been posting out custom orders, filling a couple of online orders and giving our Etsy store a little makeover!

As well as all of that, we've been replenishing stock for Craft Hatch this Saturday!

We will have plenty of Earrings (nearly sold out at Markit!) and some new bags which we've been photographing today for Etsy, Hope to see you on Saturday!

Markit 2012

Yesterday was Markit at Federation Square. I love being a part of Markit it is always such a great atmosphere with plenty of people coming through. It's also so great knowing that so many of my friends are there with their own stalls also having a great time.

 

I had so many brand new products and a new set up to go with it

 

New Silk Cotton Summer scarfs up the back, Leather and cotton chevron bags, Christmas tea towels up the front and some fun reversible necklaces in the middle!

So I managed to sneak away early (with this good looking guy keeping an eye on things for me) before it got too busy and here are a few snaps of my favorite bits and pieces!

Markit prep

Oh Joy Studio - book launch!

Last week when I was walking around Manhattan I checked my twitter feed and noticed that Oh Joy Studio was having her book launch and signing only a few blocks away that night (and there is an example of why I love twitter!) I was SO excited that I stopped by bought her new book Blog Inc. which is all of her tips on making a successful blog /business and was able to meet the lovely Joy!

Etsy Visit - Brooklyn NYC

Last week I was lucky enough to stop by Etsy in NYC - they contacted me a few days before I came over here with a pretty exciting proposal (more dets on that later) so I went into their amazing office for a tour!

Etsy don't have desk phones - instead they have these themed telephone booths for when the staff need to make calls

All of the employees have individually handmade desks - this was my favourite, a glitter topped desk! (Sorry about the photo quality)

It was such an inspiring place to visit and I feel lucky to be part of a community that provides so much support to their online sellers!
