Today is my third day snowed in during the blizzard of a lifetime in NZ. it's hard to be sad about the inconvenience of road closures and missing out on travel plans when everything around you is so pretty!
Tonight I went along to a Nikki Gabriel knitting class with my mama at the Harvest Workroom, It was so much fun, I have actually struggled to put my project down so that I can type this post! hehe.
The night was made by the fact that we got to knit in this AMAZING hand screen printed tent decorated with pom poms, made by Nikki herself! Pompoms!!
One of the best things about Nikki's patterns is that they're progressive, so you can wear the garment for a while before you add the next part! I will be wearing the first piece of mine tomorrow as a scarf. My garment is actually shaping up quite quickly and I can't wait to wear it (the 25mm needles are helping!)
Last week I had a little birthday. To celebrate I was surprised with a delightfully tasty dinner and a giant bunch of flowers! :) The restaurant was hidden underground, and It felt like we were onto one of Melbourne's many secrets, as I was lead through a tiny unmarked door and down the stairs :) The whole night was way too cute not to share
Tomorrow My best friend and I are heading up to the Australian Snow fields to learn how to snowboard! It's like a winter wonderland up there at the moment! I can't wait! Eeeeeep! Images sourced from theage.com.au
